How does it work?
Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or special holiday, Bluebird Blooms will wow your recipient with a beautifully-designed, personalized arrangement. We use flowers that are in season to keep our arrangements affordable and to extend the life of the bouquet as long as possible. You can see our blooms here.
What types of flowers will be included in my arrangement?
Each arrangement includes a mix of in-seasonal flowers that are locally sourced whenever possible. Our arrangements are personalized for every recipient, and our flower selection is always rotating. We always use a mix of large focal blooms, some smaller buds, and lots of pretty greenery. Check out our Instagram page for recent designs.
Where do you source your flowers?
We source our flowers from a handful of sustainable farms in California, and other farms around the U.S. depending on the season. We aim to use 100% American grown flowers when possible. By using locally-sourced blooms, you can feel confident that your flowers just came from the fields directly into your vase. Our farms use the strictest growing standards in the world, which means your arrangement and home is free from banned pesticides used elsewhere.

Where do you deliver?
Delivery is included at no extra charge to most locations within Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta, Summerland, Isla Vista, and Carpinteria. If you have a location just outside of the delivery zone, please contact us and we may be able to accommodate for an additional surcharge.
When do you deliver?
We currently deliver Monday - Friday, except for holidays.
What is the delivery fee?
Delivery is complimentary within our delivery areas.
How far in advance do I need to order?
Because we want to deliver the freshest blooms possible, we do not keep flowers on hand and pick them up from the farm as they are ordered. Therefore, we appreciate at least 24 hour notice on all orders. For rush orders, please call us at 805-284-0060 and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What if no one is home to receive the delivery?
If your recipient is not home to receive the delivery, our delivery driver will leave the flowers in a safe, secure place out of the sun, rain, or wind. We will then call the recipient to let them know their flowers are waiting for them. If you expect your recipient to be gone for the day, we recommend having them delivered to their office or workplace if possible. When you place your order, you can also indicate if you'd prefer we try to re-deliver the flowers at a later time (an additional delivery fee may be required).
Caring for your Blooms
How can I extend the life of my blooms?
Great question! We recommend keeping your flowers out of the direct sunlight and away from any direct heat. Change the water daily if you can! Be sure to change the water before it starts to turn green and slimy. You can also give your stems a 45 degree angle snip with very sharp scissors every other day to keep them fresh.
How long do the flowers last?
It all depends on the type of flowers! Some flowers can last up to 2 weeks, while other popular blooms like peonies and dahlias have shorter life spans (3-5 days). Whenever possible, we source our flowers from local farmers and get them in your hands right away so you can enjoy your flowers as long as possible. Replacements and Refunds
Delivery Issues, missing deliveries
In the rare event that an order is not delivered, we will gladly deliver a replacement item as soon as possible, or provide a full refund if you prefer. For arrangements that are delivered late due to an incorrect address, we cannot provide a refund, but will make every attempt to contact you and get a correct delivery address. In some cases, we may need to charge an additional delivery fee if the delivery driver cannot reach you while out for deliveries. If for some reason the recipient does not want to accept the flowers, we cannot provide a refund, but we can deliver to a different address if you wish for an additional $10 delivery fee.
If the wrong item is delivered (of lesser value), we will gladly deliver a replacement item as soon as possible, or provide you with a partial refund for the difference.
If an order arrives in poor quality, we will gladly deliver a replacement item, or provide store credit for a future order. Because we are working with perishable products, a person must be home to accept the delivery in order for us to honor this policy. We do our best to leave deliveries in a safe place away from the elements if no one is home, but sometimes weather is out of our control and can affect the overall quality and lifespan of an arrangement. We may require a photo of the item/damage to provide the replacement. Many of the special blooms we use (like peonies and dahlias) have a shorter lifespan than carnations, daisies, etc. We cannot guarantee freshness and length of life of flowers that are left in the heat, sunlight, or are not well cared for once in the possession of the recipient. Can i cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel an order for any reason, you must contact us by 12:00 pm PST the day before the delivery date for a refund. For orders over $150, at least 7 days advance cancellation notice is required.
